Our Staff

All of the funeral directors at Falardeau Funeral Home, Inc., are graduates of Accredited Mortuary Science Schools. Also, they are current members of the National Funeral Directors Association and the New York State Funeral Directors Association.


Don E. Falardeau
​Licensed Manager 

Graduated in 1960 from Simmons Institute of Funeral Service in Syracuse, NY. Served his residency from 1960 to 1961 at J. P. Burns & Son Funeral Home on West Onondaga Street in Syracuse. Began working for his father as a partner at Falardeau Funeral Home in 1961 received his Funeral Director and Embalmer's licenses in 1962.

In 1971, J. Albert Falardeau retired as a partner but still continued to be active at the funeral home.

In 1977, Don bought the property at 93 Downer Street and after renovation of the old portion of the house, opened the present funeral home in May of 1978.

Mary Falardeau Reed
Licensed Funeral Director

Mary graduated in 1988 from Niagara University with her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. In 2004, she earned her Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from New School University and worked in the Health Insurance Industry for over 18 years. Mary graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in January 2016 with her Associate’s degree in Funeral Service and completed her residency in February of 2017.

Mary is a communicant and volunteer at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. She resides in Baldwinsville with her husband Michael and they have 2 grown children, Samantha Reed Clark and Daniel Reed.

Steven Buck
Licensed Funeral Director

Steven graduated in 2015 from the American Academy McAllister Institute for Funeral Service in Manhattan with his Associate’s degree in Funeral Service. He completed his residency at Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY and received his license in February 2018. In April 2018, Steven joined Falardeau Funeral Home.

Steven resides in Cicero with his family Jenna and Malakai.  Steven enjoys fellowship at North Syracuse Baptist church.  Always in appreciation of life’s aesthetic beauty, Steven dabbles in fine arts, loves body building, and many outdoor activities such as hiking, spelunking, rock climbing, and swimming.
