Obituary of Gerald J Stevens
Gerald John "Jack" Stevens, 80, of Syracuse passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Oswego, NY on July 14, 1941. Jack had a passion for anything and everything that went fast; race cars (especially Oswego Speedway where many friendships were made, and Watkins Glen), speed boats, motorcycles and corvettes. Jack worked for Leppert Machine Tool Co. for over 20 years and retired from Camillus Cutlery. He could repair or fix anything – you name it, he could fix it. Jack is predeceased by his mother and father, Mary and Gerald Stevens, his wife, Mary Stevens, and stepson Kevin Henderson. Jack is survived by his partner, Nancy Lewis; son, Richard Stevens; stepsons, Matthew (Shawn) Henderson and Michael (Michele Trepasso) Henderson; stepdaughter Kelley (Leonard) Henderson Casper; daughter-in-law Sharon Henderson; sister Barbara (Angelo) Chalone; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A spring memorial service will be announced at a later date.
